Most of his experience has been in country western and west coast swing dancing. He began competing in 1996 on the country western dance circuit where he had the opportunity to work with a number of top level professionals. He also received training from local professionals such as Julie Hein and Don Mcdonald. Jon did much of his pro-am training with professionals Jennifer Wallace and Stephanie Kusibab. Jon's favorite dances are waltz, polka and two step. His motto is: "If you're having fun, you're doing something right."
